Moroccan Ingredients?!


Question: Moroccan Ingredients?
For my Food Tech Course i have to create a dessert tart that celebrates Moroccan culture and ingredients. What can I put in it?
I have idea of almonds or pecans with oranges, but need more idea's/?

Zenana's answer is great. Try to work in a little ras al hanout. It is a traditional Moroccan seasoning. It's usually used in savory foods because of it's flavor but a small amount in a tart might add a n interesting touch.

Also add some toasted sesame seeds. They give a nutty flavor.

So orange flower water, almonds, almond paste, dates, walnuts, figs, raisins, honey, cinnamon, vanilla etc.
