Looking for the "Best" is purely subjective.

As mentioned above, Yelp and Urbanspoon.

Another alternative website to look at is Chowhound. The NY boards seem very active and you can search the archives for similar question "Best Sushi"

Yelp is a good location to go to as well, as you get real reviews from real people

Do keep in mind that you need to take an overall view of things. You can get one review where the person thought it was heaven on a plate and the next person thought it was squip poop on toast.
