What exactly is Halal based food?!
Answers:
Halal is when the animals are basically killed according to religious demands of certain cultures.
Halal based means the animals used in the ingredeients were killed in a certain way, making them halal meat.
Food that is 'halal' has been prepared or slaughtered in accordance with islamic sharia law.
Anyone who eats halal meat supports islamic sharia law as well as the economic aspect. Most typical is halal meat preparation and slaughter. The 'bismillah' or the 'shahada' prayer is said over the meat. A muslim and only a muslim must ritualistically slaughter the meat in the way it's to be slaughtered. All this process makes the meat halal meat. The muslim community are to only eat halal meat.
Therefore economically only the muslim community benefit from this practice.
People should know what they are eating and supporting so they can make proper informed decisions.
Halal food isn't very different than Kosher food. It's food that adheres to islamic law. Some examples are that animals have to be killed humanly, that they need to be bled etc. Pork isn't allowed under halal. There are others as well but that's the nature of it.
Please explain to me why you can't just Google it? (After all, that's exactly what nearly ALL of the answerers will be doing!)
I really don't understand. Do you get some kind of thrill reading replies from fellow humans, regardless of the content?
P.S.
I will forgive you because I really like your J. Sheindlin user-pic.
Halal based food ,this term is used to allow Jews and Muslim know that the food okay to be consumed.
PLEASE NOTE* That there is a difference between Zabiha and Halah.
Zabiha is used in term of meat being slaughter in an Islamic method .
In muslim religion, they have to cut animals head in special way or it is againt the religion to eat them. in Iran, they cut the head slowly and most of the blood leaves animal's body. but in the u.s. the cut animals head I think fast and some blood stays in the body. (I think, not sure)

Halal isn't an ingredient is is just the way that the meat is manufactured because some religions are strict.
It means that us Muslims can eat it. Such as pork which isn't halal and muslims can't have it at all!
