Very bitter, brown, chinese hot beverage?!
So a couple of years ago I took a trip to Hong Kong and came down with a really nasty cold.
I was about to buy some Aspirin, instead some Chinese shop owned convinced me to buy some kind of instant powder that dissolves in hot water.
The drink was excessively bitter, brown, served hot and had a very distinct smell (and no we're not talking poop).
Does anyone here have a clue what that stuff was called?

You made me laugh when you said (and no we're not talking poop)!!!
Haha
Lol that reminds me very much of Woods' Peppermint cure. But it could also be ginger tea; it's commonly used for flu and colds. (:
To be honest it could be anything, they have a huge range of herbal medicines and remedies.
