How do you know when a mango is ready to eat?!

Question:

How do you know when a mango is ready to eat?

I have never ate a mango before and decided to try one so I bought one last night.

Answers:
I actually like my mangos really ripe and soft... it should give a little when you squeeze it, just like a pear.

Personally, I HATE unripe mangos... better too ripe than not ripe enough, because they'll be hard and have no flavor.

when its yellow and soft.

A mango...the most delicous fruit u could ever taste! it is ready to eat, when you see that it is red.. if its still green, or greenish yellowish..not yet..

Don't eat it if it's rock-hard. It should give just a little when you squeeze it. Not TOO soft. And have mostly rosy color. NOT mostly green.

THEY ARE DELICOUS! My favorite fruit!

When you see it green or almost green, then you shouldn't eat it yet.

You can eat your mango now, green, half ripe & ripe

When its green you can make chow - peel then cut it up into strips add pepper & salt, some ppl add garlic and shadow benny ... tastes great!

Half ripe you can still make chow but you can also just peal it and eat it, this is the best time to eat it I think

Ripe its very soft and juicy and not many ppl like it when its too mushy
