Difference betweeen BUFFALO MOZZERELLA?!

Question:

Difference betweeen BUFFALO MOZZERELLA?

and REgular mozzerella?

Answers:
The difference is the milk comes from buffalo not cow. There are different types of buffalo mozzarella and that depends usually on the origin of the cheese:

mozzarella di latte di bufala made from unpasteurized water buffalo's milk; mozzarella di bufala campana made only from Campania's buffalo milk; mozzarella fior di latte made from fresh pasteurized or unpasteurized cow's milk;

I've always hoped that it's buffalo milk, but that can't be right. In SF there is a pizza chain called Mozzarella di Bufula. It's actually very good.

the water buffalo and the american buffalo (?? I think)
iAre there any other buffalo's???

Buffalo mozzarella is made from buffalo milk, regular made from cows milk, which is bizarre as for sum reason i thought buffalo were extinct! but apparently not, as i saw a programme about is the other day. Buffalo is slightly better for you than regular, and has a nicer taste, but not much difference really.

Buffalo mozzarella is made from buffalo milk, where regular mozzarella is made from a regular dairy cow's milk. Buffalo milk tends to be higher in nutritional value than a dairy cow. There is a farm in Woodstock Vermont that makes mozzarella and yogurt from buffalo milk and it is very good.
