What is a good recipe for this type of steak? I would like something in the oven and something that is very tasty. Not greasy or tough. Thank You.

Chuck steak is a lower level of meat than other cuts. It requires significant moisture and time to cook but it does produce a tasty end result.

Pot roast is the common use but you could pound to tenderize, you can cook in other moist recipes like beef stroganoff.

When I was a kid, my folks would buy this cut and grill or broil it like finer steaks. I didn't know any difference.

Yeppers, you're making pot roast. Sear it on high heat in a skillet on your stove top first to lock in the juices. Do this by rubbing the raw meat with oil, veggie or olive, add your favorite seasonings on both side. Place in hot pan, let it sear a couple minutes on each side.
In the meantime, prepare your roaster, it should have a cover. Put just s bit of water in the bottom, I like to put my roast on a rack in the roaster. Put into a 325 degree oven, for how long depends on how big the piece of meat is and how you like it done. We like our medium rare so we go something like an hour, don't be afraid to cut into it to check or use a meat thermometer.
Remember you can place taters and carrots in the roaster also but maybe not at the very beginning as they really don't take that long to cook. Remember to season them also.

Season with salt & pepper onion powder and garlic salt. Put in roaster with a cup of beef broth with big chunks of onion,carrots and potato. cover and cook on low 300 degrees. 2 1/2 to 3 hours for a 3 to 4 pound roast. Its easy and you have dinner all in one pot. Great Taste.
