Can you substitute nectarines for peaches in a pie or cobbler?!

Question:

Can you substitute nectarines for peaches in a pie or cobbler?

Are they exactly the same fruit but without the fuzz?

Answers:
yes. Nectarine is a cultivar group of peach that has a smooth, fuzzless skin. Though grocers treat fuzzy peaches and nectarines as different fruits, they belong to the same species.

you've tasted each fruit, right? they are similar, but not the same. but they should be interchangeable. just dont try to say it's peach, just make a necterine pie.

They are not the same but are similar, you can use almost anything in a cobbler or pie.

i think both sound delicious. i would say, yes, its okay to make a nectarine pie. and i hope that everyone enjoys it. bc it sounds very tasty.

Yes, the two fruits are interchangable. They are incredibly similar fruits.
And if you're making some dessert, save a piece for me. :)
