Anyone know how to make ranch dressing like pizza inn? or where to buy?!

Question:

Anyone know how to make ranch dressing like pizza inn? or where to buy?

Pizza Inn has the BEST Ranch dressing I have ever had. I could *almost* drink the stuff. But you just can't buy it like that at the grocery store, or at least none of the 10 brands I've bought and tried have been any good to me. Anyone know how I can get that pizza inn type ranch dressing at home? other than steal it from the buffet? :)

Answers:
Most "restaurants", because of cost, purchase their dressings pre-made and by asking somebody at the Pizza Inn you can find out who their products distributor is (Sysco, Rykoff) and "backdoor" your way to find what you're looking for. High end restaurants that make their own dressings protect their proprietary recipes. You have tried alot of "Brands" have you tried duplicating it yourself? Most recipes are pretty close in Ingredients and if you trust your tongue you just might hit the nail on the head and be the one smiling when you tell your friends you have the recipe. Here is the base recipe for Ranch Dressing, tweak it and have fun.
Use "real" diary and mayo, no low fat or Miracle Whip
Secret Valley Ranch

Ingredients:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon msg (Accent brand is good)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1 pinch dried thyme

Prep:
Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth. Cover and chill for several hours before using.
Makes 1 cup.
