What is this Indian cake-like food?!

Question:

What is this Indian cake-like food?

A few years ago I took an Indian history class at my university. At our final party, one of our instructors made this food that appeared to be a spongy type of cake. It had the texture of angel food cake, but its taste was slightly tart, kindof like dill, and it was a greenish/yellow color. It was cut into slices and served plain. Does anyone know what it is, or where I can find a recipe?

Answers:
It is a savoury cake made from lentil flour and can be also be made with pureed veg.

It is either steamed or baked, here is the recipe I found, there are more on the page

Hi:
It could either be Dhokla or Khamman...both Gujrati(State In India) dishes and it is steamed and very tasty. Can be served with Green chutney.
If you go to an Indian Store around your area, they will probably have it.....and what does not hurt is that it is very healthy.
Enjoy
