Why don't you just go to your local bakery & look through their book & order one in plenty of time for his special day? I love cake that has the whipped cream frosting. It's not sickening sweet like many of them are. :)

I guess it would depend on where you live, since you would have to pick it up from somewhere. I live in the St. Louis area, and La Bonne Bouchee is a favorite restaurant of mine (it's French). They make really awesome pastries, including personalized birthday cakes. Even if you don't live near St. Louis, check out their website for some ideas...
