Anything will go well with latkes, even fig preserves.

I've had them with (not all the same time!): cranberry dressing, jalapeno jelly, mango salsa, lingonberry preserves, chutney, and my favorite, creme fraiche.

Most common would be applesauce and sour cream. Go with what you think is good and it probably will be!

Applesauce!

Applesauce and sour cream. Separately, of course. :-)

Applesauce, sour cream, caviar, pickled beets, beef gravy..... whatever you like!

You serve latkes with(in order of tradition) sour cream, or, in response to lower fat issues, applesauce

Potato pancakes may be topped with a variety of condiments, from savoury (sour cream, various cheeses-cottage, etc.) to sweet (applesauce, sugar with or without cinnamon), but traditionalists prefer them ungarnished.

If you meant more as a main course w/ your latkes as a side dish here are some ideas:

Anyway, good luck, hope I helped!

I like to have them for a special Sunday breakfast with eggs, turkey bacon, & fruit on the side. And we put a dollop of low fat sour cream on them. (I don't like them with the applesauce)

A fried chicken breast- covered in matzo...... or an oven baked chicken with rosemary. Also- can top latkes with anything savory or sweet- as for tradition- there is still a variety........ but plaian os soemtimes preferred.

If you go with tradition then it would be either applesauce or sour cream.

But....I"ve had requested for apricot preserves or apple butter...

They both do the "job"!

ENJOY! oh...save some for ME!
