Shrek Birthday Party Recipe's?!

Question:

Shrek Birthday Party Recipe's?

I am having a Shrek themed b-day party for my daughter who will be 4. I am doing munchies & beverages & buying the cake. I am looking for some recipes that have an "Ogre" feel to them. Like swamp water punch etc... Thanks for the help!

Answers:
Swamp Water Punch

orange juice
ginger ale, optional
blue food coloring
floating arm-of-death, optional

Put some blue food coloring into the orange juice punch until it
turns a disgusting swamp-green color. The color is gross and the
orange juice pulp floating around really adds to the effect. People
will realize that the punch tastes good, but it will take them
awhile to figure out it is orange juice.

Floating Arm-of-Death

Water or orange juice
gummy worms, optional

Freeze the water (and gummy worms if desired) in a clean rubber
glove. Peel off the rubber glove and float the arm in the punch.

try green jello (you can buy it at most grocery stroes) but instead of a bowl use a 9x13 pan and then u can use cookie cutters or even try cutting out the shapes. also gingerbread man id make them but wouldnt ice them (if there is goign to be kids you can set out decoration like gum drops and icing sprinkles) and they can decorate the cookies as an activity. this will look like the ginger bread man from the movie.

Gingerbread Cookie Recipe
LEMON MERINGUE PIE
MAPLE APPLE CAKE Ingredients:
5 to 5 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/4 cups molasses
2 eggs, beaten

Directions:
Preheat oven 375°F. Thoroughly mix flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Melt shortening in large saucepan. Cool slightly. Add sugar, molasses and eggs; mix well. Add four cups of the dry ingredients and mix again.

Turn mixture onto lightly floured surface. Knead in remaining dry ingredients by hand. Add a little more flour, if necessary, to make the dough firm. Roll out on a lightly floured surface to a 1/4 inch thickness and cut out cookies with Metal Gingerbread Boy and Girl Cookie Cutters.

Bake 6-10 minutes for small to medium size cookies and 10-15 minutes for large cookies.

If you're not going to use your gingerbread right away, wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate. Refrigerated dough will keep for a week, but be sure to remove it 3 hours prior to rolling so it softens and is workable.

Serves 40 average-size cookies.

Mix 7- up and green food coloring in a punch bowl. Add sherbert. Peel grapes and freeze. When frozen add as eyeballs into the shrek punch. Also you could make some lime jello, and suspend gummy worms and spiders in it. let it set then add a crushed oreo topping for dirt. Yummy swamp sludge! Most importantly, have fun!!
