Is fish meat?!

Question:

Is fish meat?

it really bugs me when people say fish is meat because i am pretty convinced that fish isn't meat and that fish is fish. anyone agrees with me?

Answers:
you are right. fish is in its own group. some people choose not to eat meat, but will eat fish.

I agree - a lot of people won't eat red meat and chicken but will eat fish. It has its own food group!

Yes fish is meat its just different from other meat because it comes from a fish, but it is meat from a fish

no its not meat
"meat" is consider to be things that had a heart and fish do not have hearts
i am a vegitarian and i can still have fish since my religion says so

i agree that fish is fish and not meat so it is just fish

Meat is the flesh of an animal that was once living. Hence, fish is meat. Hell, it's not a grain...

you are right, fish is just fish, not meat.

hey if they can put eggs in the meat category then fish sure fits

wow! who ever said fish dont have hearts is pretty dumb, of course fish have hearts! but they only have one or two chambers. and yes fish IS meat, because meat is muscle and fish muscle is what you are eating.

gah whoever told you fish wasn't a meat is mentally challenged... they were once living and they do have hearts.....they are an animal and meat comes from animals....eggs are considered meat so why wouldn't fish be considered meat? i don't think a fish is a vegetable or a grain! lol so hmmm i guess its a MEAT! gasp! it doesn't really take a rocket scientist to figure that one out...

fish is meat. fish is a type pf meat, just like chicken, pork and beef
