Spanish inspired food...?!

Question: Spanish inspired food...?
Ok so I'm cooking a beef and chorizo stew/casserole and I'm debating on the side dish. I originally thought mash potatoe but although it will go doesn't seem very Spanish inspired to me lol. So I thought either rice or tortilla(the big potatoe filled omlette) with salad.......any other suggestions? Best answer vote for one I use! Oh the stew has beef, chorizo, peppers, carrots, onions, garlic, paprika, various spices, splash olive oil.

The stew sounds great. My kind of food.

I think Mashed poatoes would go great with it. Mash goes amazingly with any stew.

If you want something a bit more Spanish, try either Patatas Bravas or Spanish Fried potatoes.

With Patatas Bravas you peel and par-boil new potatoes, then deep fry them until they're golden. Then make a sauce by blending tinned tomatoes. Fry some chilli and garlic and add the tomatoes. Mix it up with some basil and pour the sauce over your deep-fried potatoes.

For the fried potatoes, slice some new potatoes, not too thin. Par-boil them. Fry the potatoes in olive oil and garlic until they're golden. Add rosemary to the potatoes, then put them on a dish. Sprinkle them with black pepper and salt, then throw them in the oven on a medium heat for 5-10 minutes for them to dry and crisp.

potato - potatoe
tomato - tomatoe
omelette - omelett

saffron rice!!!
