Answers:
Clarified butter can be covered and stored several months in the refrigerator. Chilled clarified butter does become grainy.

For cooking it is used in making hollandaise sauce and is excellent for sautéing as it has a high smoke point (190C/375F).

So it's for lots of different recipes where you might use some other oil. It's just that it'll have a buttery-to-nutty flavor, depending on how long it's been heated.

The old name for "Ghee" is "Clarified Butter" - I use ghee to fry anything I want to shallow fry without altering its flavour.

roti prata.

Hi,
1). You can use in the Rice (Basmathi)
2). And you can top it to flat breads(Indian Roti)
But dont use too much as it may get extreme taste

Like every has already said....
anything and everything that needs oil or butter...watch out for the calories though....

I love using ghee when I make Naan (flatbread). It makes the naan flavorful and adds to the overall taste when using the naan to dip in the 'gravy' of indian foods. (Some people use olive oil in their naan - may be healthier, but not as tasty, in my opinion!)

Here is a basic naan recipe: http://indianfood.about.com/od/breadreci...

All kinds of cakes and cookies.
Potted prawns.
Just plain with rice (add sugar if needed)
Ghee+boiled rice+boiled potato+boiled egg mash (with little salt) for children
To fry any kind of desserts/pastries

you can use ghee in any thing that involves frying as it is clarified butter

Use a little ghee to shallow fry things like parathas.

Could you tell me where you got your ghee? I need some.
