what's this fake green grass-like stuff in my sushi container?!

Question: What's this fake green grass-like stuff in my sushi container?
Whenever I buy sushi to go, the box always contains a small piece of what looks like grass. It's sort of rectangular shaped, thin like paper, and has one jagged edge that makes it look like blades of grass and I have no idea what it's for. I have a guess that its to roll the sushi back up if I can't get it all in one bite, but I just feel stupid using it for that if it's not meant for it.

Answers:

That was there so your ginger (sometimes wasabi too) won't be in direct contact with your sushi. Moisture from the ginger/wasabi will make the nori (roasted seaweed) soggy. Sometimes, it was used as a barrier between different sushi too. Needless to say, it was a decoration too.
