Why are kids served JUNK food all the time ? What's up ?!

Question:

Why are kids served JUNK food all the time ? What's up ?

My mom and grandma get good choices of food on their menus, like real potatoes, real fish and chicken and whatever. When I get a kids menu they have chicken nuggets, french fries, pizzas, hot dogs , nachos with gobs of melted cheese and no good veggies. Even at school. What they dont like kids or something ??
( my grandma helped me, but I really want to know )

Truth is things began going downhill when people quit eating at the dinner table and sat in front of the TV to eat. A lot of valuable interaction was lost. Things continued on until actually people no longer know how or what to eat even though they are told repeatedly. Ha ha so we are supposed to eat so many fruits and vegetables a day? Who can afford it? I know people that live on cereal and crackers and starch. The wealthy people look so much better because they can not only afford the good food, they have a cook and also a physical trainer. I am curious, do the schools still teach home ec? I believe many have lost their creative edge due to the electronics in their lives.(TV, Video Games, Computers) You know how you can tell if you are addicted to Yahoo Questions and Answers? The fur balls are as big as the cats and the kids call the neighbor Mom. lol. "That which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that I do." KJV Romans To me that means I can talk about doing well and I can preach it to other people, but, do I apply my knowledge and words to myself...hahah I think not and since the Bible writer Paul didn't either I guess I am in good company. I promise to eat well tomorrow. I always call fruit, "God's Candy", to the kids. Mmm

Kids are usually really picky eaters. So they only put foods on the menu that they know kids will eat.

Because those kinds of unhealthy food are cheaper than the other food, and sadly the restaraunt people think that kids wont care because they arent as health consious as adults.

Those things are what they know children will eat; with some fast-food places in particular, kids are the reason lots of their ADULT customers (the ones with the money...) come in. If you don't like the kids' menu, then I think you should order from the adult menu. If it's too much for you to eat, then take the rest home and save it for another meal.

Junk food is tastier and appeals more to them. You need to be firm with them and tell them that they should only eat it when you tell them.

i dont understand that either!! it is so wrong!! i know for a fact that many kids are picky eaters, so i agree with the first answer. but children in this generation should be exposed to more healthy foods because obesity is starting to form more and more in america. i am not a picky eater, and i think others should atleast TRY to eat healthier!!!

it's how you brought them up by allowing it to be consumed.Who they are around too makes a difference. My kids are 19 and 17 and they eat very healthy still because it was never am option to eat unhealthy. no fast food ect... You can say no, and give better options, they' ll learn trust me

My children prefer good healthier foods, and when we go out to eat we let them order from the adult menu. Most of the time we take half or more home for their lunch the next day, and that is okay. Another thing some restaurants will do is let us split an adult order between the boys, they just bring an extra plate and I split it at the table. One option my husband and I like is going to a buffet that has better options for our kids. Also, our school system has implemented a "Healthy Choice" program, and the foods have really improved. The hardest part of that was taking out the soda machines, but my son was alright with that because he had already been bringing flavored water for snack. People are waking up that not all kids like "junk" foods.
Peace.

there picky

Today society is getting lazy. Making homemade good for you food takes time to make. Hot Dogs and Fries fries take a few minutes.
