What is the best vodka for vodka sauce?!

Question:

What is the best vodka for vodka sauce?

Answers:
Any decent vodka will do. Remember not too cheap as your sauce will taste as good as its ingredients. I never use a wine or liquor that I wouldn't drink.

Pretty much any vodka will work as long as it doesn't have any objectionable flavors. I would stay away from most flavored vodkas though. Pepper vodka might be good, but I can't imagine currant vodka would be good in tomato sauce.

The whole idea is that the alcohol in the vodka helps extract some of the alcohol-soluble flavor compounds in tomato, and because vodka is a very neutral-flavored spirit, it doesn't overwhelm the flavor of the sauce.

Depends on how well you can cook. Any resaraunt you go to for the most part uses well vodka (Mcormicks, etc) be it 4 star or just your run of the mill italian place. But for your home cooking, do like Mimi said buy something you will drink or that you can serve to people if they come over. Also be sure to cook all the alcohol.of the dish. My advise stoli skyy something along those lines.

Cheap vodka, the good stuff is for shooters...ask a Russian.
