Sauce:

3 med. onions finely chopped
6 Italian sausages
3 pounds hamburger
1 can tomato paste
3 cans crushed tomatoes

2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon crushed pepper


Meat Balls:

3 1/2 to 4 pounds hamburger
3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 teaspoon powdered garlic
3/4 cup grated Romano cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Saute onions and sauages until sauage is brown. Add 3 pounds hamburger; cook until brown. Add tomato paste, tomato, salt, pepper crushed pepper, garlic, brown sugar. Cook on simmer for two hours. Then add meatballs.
Mix the ingredents for meatballs together well, make into golf ball sized meatballs. Place in oven proof dish and bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes.

1 (32 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (15 ounce) can chopped tomatoes
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, mashed
1 red pepper, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 lb ground beef or chickens
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 1/2 tablespoons oregano
3/4 teaspoon thyme
1 beef double bouillon cubes (Knorr)
salt and pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup red wine (optional)
1 lb spaghetti noodles, cooked according to package directions

1. Heat olive oil in a shallow soup pot.
2. Sauteé garlic until golden, then add onions and peppers.
3. Sauteé until onions are starting to become translucent, then add beef, and season with salt and pepper.
4. Brown until cooked through (about 10-15 minutes).
5. Drain grease.
6. Add wine (if using) and allow to cook for a couple of minutes.
7. Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, boullion cube, parsley, oregano, thyme and basil, salt and pepper and sugar.
8. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
9. Boil for about 1 minute then reduce heat to med-low and simmer 20 minutes.
10. Serve over spaghetti, top with parmesan cheese and serve with crusty french bread.

I prefer spaghetti bolognaise with ground beef spread throughout the dish instead of a few big lumps of meat here and there.

1 tbsp. fresh parsley

Preheat oven to 400F. Finely chop onion and garlic and place in a mixing bowl. Add all other ingredients and mix by hand until well blended.

Roll into 1-inch balls (or larger, if you wish). Place meatballs onto a tray and bake in oven for 10 minutes, or until meatballs are browned. Makes about 20 meatballs.

2 tbsp. olive oil
2 small onions, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
4 28 oz. cans plum tomatoes
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. fresh black pepper
Bunch fresh basil, chopped

Heat olive oil in large heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and saute until lightly browned. Add crushed plum tomatoes, breaking tomatoes with back of wooden spoon. Add seasoning and bring to a boil.

Lower heat and simmer sauce for 20 minutes, adjusting salt and pepper, if required. Add browned meatballs to sauce and simmer additional 15 minutes. Serve with spaghetti or linguini.

3 slices bread, crumbled
2 pounds lean ground beef

1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, smashed and minced
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried leaf basil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 large can (28 to 36 ounces total) crushed Italian tomatoes
2 cans (6 ounces each) tomato paste
16 ounces thin spaghetti
Parmesan cheese

PREPARATION:

Make meatballs. In a medium bowl, beat eggs lightly; add milk and bread and let stand for about 5 minutes. Add ground beef, onion, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper; mix gently until well blended. Shape into about 24 meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Place meatballs in a generously greased large shallow baking pan. Bake meatballs at 450° for 25 minutes.
In a Dutch oven, in hot oil over medium heat, sauté onion until tender and just begins to turn golden. Add remaining sauce ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt, if necessary. Add meatballs; cover and simmer 50 to 60 minutes longer, stirring from time to time.

Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain.

Serve spaghetti topped with meatballs in sauce; sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
