Is it okay to eat cooked pasta with tomato sauce on it?!

Question:

Is it okay to eat cooked pasta with tomato sauce on it?

When I lived alone i wasn't a good cook and enjoyed eating pasta. For a bit of flavour I'd put nothing but tomato sauce on my pasta which was usually penne pasta. My girlfriend thinks it's disgusting when I tell her this.

Answers:
Tomato sauce is quite commonly served on cooked pasta. Yeah, it's okay. Tomato sauce (even cold, right out of the can) is generally very safe to eat. It's usually decontaminated in canning and such.

yeah it is ok i love it that way

mmm...you know what, make her some and make it super yummy. Then tell her that there is nothing disgusting about it. Its good with some cheese on top as well.

Ask your girlfriend if she's ever had Spaghetti, its pasta with tomato sauce...

couldnt you at least buy a jar of prepared spaghetti sauce instead? Tomato sauce has no herbs, no salt, no nothing. How bland can you get!

As long as you enjoyed it, who cares if your girlfriend is blindly judgemental about food.

Normal spaghetti sauce is just tomato sauce with seasonings in it. If you like it plain, eat it plain.
