9 people over for dinner tomorrow night...?!

Question:

9 people over for dinner tomorrow night...?

I am having 9 people over for dinner tomorrow night. I am making a lasagna, fetticcini alfredo, meatballs, sauasage and a salad. Everything is going to be home made (except the sausage and pasta noodles). Everyone is coming at 6. I always get antsy before a dinner party and start everything way too early and end up serving food that had to be microwaved to re-heat it. Can someone give me a time table to follow that will get everything hot and tasty right at 6?

Answers:
The lasagna can be prepared the morning of the dinner party and even the evening before and held in the refrigerator until it is time to bake it for the dinner, allow for 20 to 30 minutes for the lasagna to cool before serving. You didn't say how you are going to cook the sausage and meatballs, but once they are cooked you should be able to hold them in a warm oven (140 F) for a half hour before serving. The fettuccine can be partially cooked on the afternoon of the dinner and held in cold water. The pasta will only take 5-10 minutes to finish cooking. The Alfredo sauce should be prepared just before service. Most of the salad can be prepared on the morning of the party and held in the refrigerator. If you are going to have tomatoes in your salad do not refrigerate them, it will kill the flavor.

2:30 to 3 and keep warm but thats mean...and my 1 year cooking experience.

I hope they help you w/ the dishes

make the lasagna the morning or afternoon of because it is easy to reheat IN THE OVEN. Have your salad ready several hours before and in the fridge (wait til you serve it to put croutons and dressing and cheese, etc on) find a recipie online for fetticcini that gives you an average time that it takes to make and cook and start 15 minutes before that heat the sausage so that they're ready when you are same with meatballs! GOOD LUCK!! It sounds like fun!! Hope I was helpful!

Nope I can't but you better make that 10 for dinner! I don't care if you have to 'nuke' my food, sounds delicious!

Have fun and don't fret, enjoy your evening and it will be nice meeting you LOL!
