Why does it taste "funky" when you have orange juice +brush your teeth?

Have you noticed that you have a glass of Orange juice and than brush your teeth it taste REALLY funny?PLEASE TELL ME WHY!!!!!

sodium laurel sulfate- it effects the sweet tastebuds making them temprarily inoperable. thus...giving you an overload of bitter and sour tastes.

I know right it taste so sour and just plain nasty =[ I think the tastes dont mesh well i dont really think there is a reason though maybe because orange juice is so acidic it doesnt "mix" well with toothpaste!! Lol wouldnt it be funny if there was orange flavored toothpaste!!

it has a lot to do with the PH level of the two items. the orange is very acidic, which does not taste god combined with the toothpaste. generally citrus and mint don't go together, forutantly for us. :)
