Hate to disagree with everyone, but if there was an opposite to sugar (sweet) it would be sour.... so vinegar, lemon juice, lime juice ... those would get my vote.

Since bitterness is the opposite of sweetness, whatever is bitter would be the opposite of sugar, wouldn't it?

salt or lemons not sure now that i wrote it down b\c the opposite of sweet is sour and the only thing i can think of is lemons or lemonaid
