What food is best for a sick person?!

Question:

What food is best for a sick person?

Answers:
It very much depends on the illness. Ginger products such as ginger tea, crystallized ginger, and gingerroot and peppermint products such as tea and fresh leaves can help ease congestion associated with cold or flu as well as help to settle a queasy or otherwise upset stomach from cancer treatments or simple stomach viruses. Liquids such as 100% fruit juices, teas, and soups can help flush the system and keep mucous thinned for easy exit from the body. Sour cherry products such as cherry juice, fresh cherries, and dried cherries, can help ease pain and inflammation due to illness or injury.
