Going veg isn't always easy, but in the end you have to decide if you love the taste of dead animal more than you hate what happened to the animal for you to eat its flesh. Only you can know what you care about more.

I used to love BBQ chicken wings many years ago. Since then I realized that I just like barbecued foods and the wings didn't matter much.

me too

then why do you want to become a vegetarian?

so just come to terms with the fact that you like all humans are an omnivore - your body has evolved to eat all types of food from all sources. Why feel bad about a natural thing?

Ribs are a major factor in me not making the switch, too.

So what's the question? Make a choice, either you give up all meat and slaughter by products and become vegetarian or you dont.

me too

I made ribs two nights ago that were the best I have ever
made. I am a vege freak but I want variety in my food so
be a careful eater not a vegetarian.

Open this link, then look for the BBQ riblets at the bottom-left corner, try and find those at the store,I'm sure you'll love them, they are one of the best meat substitues I've tasted.

if you are serious about not wanting to eat meat, then it must be a sacrifice you are willing to make. I was afraid at first because i love bbq chicken! but now days its so easy because they sell textured soy products almost everywhere that actually taste good & i really don't miss it as much as i thought. just think of all the hormones, & chemicals animals are full of thanks to us. if i could be assured free-range organic meats were indeed free range & organic with no hormones processing or cannibalism (like cows eating cows etc) i would eat meat. but when i think about chickens that have been genetically altered to the point they cannot walk...that's when i put down that bbq and start caring about what i oput in my body!

just don't forget what your body is capable of

so what ?

is your wil power really so low that you give in on a belief system just because of your taste buds ??

I was going to say "not much conviction" but actually i don't think there is ANY conviction.

If you want to be vegetarian, just stop eating meat, its so simple i don't actually see what the issue is.

It would take you about .1 nanosaconds to become vegetarian. Using things like the taste of ribs is just kidding yourself that you actually want to be veggie and finding a lame excuse.

I Tasted the Gardenburger barbecue ribs. Love the sauce. My Daughter liked them and she its meat. Cheaper at Wal-mart than at Krogers.

I became a vegetarian and I loved all meat. But now, that's all over and done with and I am a vegetarian for life.

O.k it is clear to me that grammar is lost on some people.

First of all that's not a question it's a statement

Secondly it's WANT not won't wrong vowel and no apostrophe.

So become a vegetarian just eat ribs once every three months so at least four times a year you get your rib fix but most of the time you're a veg.

Ribs are one of the foods I could never really eat, although I tried a few times. But I could only eat them gingerly, whereas I've seen some people suck the bone dry.
When I ate meat I could rarely stomach anything on the bone, especially chicken and ribs. It just seemed so barbaric.
Even though I never got into ribs you guys have me wanting to try those Gardenburger "ribs" just to see what has you all so impressed.
Honeychild, I hope you get over your addiction to flesh and come on over to the veggie side. Once you get meat out of your system for a while the thought of gnawing on something's ribs will turn your stomach.

Keep checking different supermarket freezer sections where they have fake meats. There's immitation "riblets" that are good. Don't expect them to taste like meat, but they have the spicy BBQ sauce on them, and they are yummy! Then if you crave ribs, you can eat those.

Find any fake meat you like, and barbque it!

just think to your self that meat rots inside you for days

If there were no pigs I could almost become a vegetarian if my life depended on it.

I figure if we weren't supposed to eat meat, why would it taste so good?.

If I don't the eat it something else will.
