Is fish considered seafood or just fish?!

Question:

Is fish considered seafood or just fish?

I often hear people say I don't eat seafood but I aways see them eating fish. So why do some put the fish in the seafood group... is it or not??

If it is a fish that came out of the sea, like tuna or halibut it is probably considered seafood.
Catfish or trout that comes out of a lake or a stream, don't think that would be considered Seafood.

That is my thinking anyway.

Eating a fish is using it as a food.

Fish come from the sea.

You do the math.

What people say and what they do are often different.

Fish is seafood, except sometimes fishes come from rivers and many don't consider it "sea"food.

Yes some fish are from the sea BUT NOT ALL FISH. It's just how people are saying it anyway. They should say "The only kind of sea food I like is fish." Does that make more sense to ya?

seafood

hi my name is billie i,m female 21 yrs old yes, fish is a seafood like if you go out for dinner order the seafood platter that has every seafood you ever want yes it is seafood like lobster is need more advice e-mail me billiegotmail@yahoo.com bye billie

I have always included fish under the category of seafood. Some people differentiate between fish and shellfish, and I think more people have allergies to shellfish than fish.

I always think of it this way: Any animal that cannot survive on land and can only breathe in water is considered sea food.

Fish is seafood. I even heard that vegetarians eat fish, so that doesn't make sense to me.
