How can I store cookies & ship them?!

Question:

How can I store cookies & ship them?

My husband is military & I would like to send him homemade cookies. What is the best way to store them to keep the freshness?

Answers:
I bought a sealer. Cookies and brownies made it fresh every time. I've also heard putting a piece of bread in the container...really have to worry about it this time of year with the heat and mold in tupperware containers or bags. Have to say my husbands favorite treat while there was the Spunkmeyer muffins...already sealed and very fresh.

Oh, havent tried this but heard it makes cookies really moist is to put (small amount)instant vanilla pudding mix in the batter.

the slice of bread in the container you use to ship/store the cookies works great! i do it all the time.

As long as it isn't going overseas, put a slice of bread in with the cookies to keep them soft. A friend from college used to get slices of bread with her cookies constantly.

In an airtight/ watertight container. Use a nice tin box lined with parchment paper and they'll keep just fine...
