Ants in my pop tarts?!

Question:

Ants in my pop tarts?

I was getting ready to eat a pop tart and I looked down and saw that there were ants everywhere on and in it. I looked on the wrapper and the box to find a hole, but didnt find one. What can I do about this?

Answers:
Throw them out and make sure there are no ants in the rest of the food where your pop-tarts where stored. If you had other food stored in the same cupboard, it likely has ants too. Clean the cupboard and put out some of that liquid ant killer, the kind that you put a couple drops on cardboard. It works really well because the ants carry it back to the nest (when that ant dies the others eat him). Make sure children can't get into the cupboard where you have put in the ant killer.

I had this trouble before and the ant killer gets rid of them.

Throw it away and buy some fresh Pop-Tarts.

Complain to the producer they should deal with it!!! I hope it didn't put you off the beautiful food that is pop tarts!!! :)

toast it.

Write a complaitn letter to Kellogs, you should at least get your money back.

Throw them away!
Make sure none of your other food has ants!
Get an ant spray from the store!

Take it back to wherever you bought it and ask for a refund. Then contact the manufacturer, call them or email, call preferably, and tell them. They'll probably give you some kind of compensation. Definitly let them know though so they can do something about it.

find out where the ants r comeing in wall cracks etc the chalck it they hate te feel of powder on ther bodyies

There doesn't need to be a visible hole for ants to get in there. I would check other things wherever your pop tarts were stored for starters. The ants could have come from in your home or from outside, or possibly got in the package at the grocer, or before. It's almost impossible to figure out the source. You could write to the manufacture, but again, you don't know where the problem started. First and foremost... check your other foods that were anywhere near the pop tarts. Then talk to management at the market where they were purchased. They should know whether it happened there or if they received them with the ants. The store may give you a replacement.

sorry this happened but some times we forget to realize that factories have issues with pest of all sorts.I would call them and iam sure they will send another as long as you have proof of purchase

The best thing to do is put the pop tarts & box into a sealed plastic bag & toss them in the garbage can outside.

Complain in writing to the company that produced them. If there is a toll free phone number provided, call it. Provide complete information as to where and when you purchased them. Include the lot or batch number that's on the package.

I would report it to the consumers, because that is ridicules, would if you were the type of person who just ate and didn't look at your food that would have been horrible.

u should call the company and list a complaint

Throw it away. It's just a pop tart.

Ants are so small, they cannot just be sealed into the product. They would not survive in that metallic wrap, they had to get into it recently. I would put some Tarro (ant killer) in your cupboard or pantry, wherever you stored them.
