I don't know anyone who does...but my opinion on fruitarians is that there always has to be people who go to extremes and they fill that purpose niceley lol.

Source(s):
I don't feel like the grains really suffered when they were made into this peanut butter and banana sandwich.

I don't think I know anyone like that. I remember a show once where a couple of the characters were "negans" - they only ate water in its various forms "frozen, melted, partly melted", ... they were skeletons.

Did you know fruits scream when you bite into them?
If you eat a nut it prevents it from growing into it's destiny, a tree!
What's left to eat? Air?
I'm a Vagitarian myself!
.

negans? ha, crazy

yes one of my friends is one and he love being one!!!!!

Fruitarianism can be a variety of different thinks to different people. Usually it means a vegan who only eats fruit, veggies such as tomatos, peppers, and cucumbers that can qualify as fruit, and nuts and seeds. The daily diet is often very simple as many people engaging in fruitarianism also are raw food practitioners. They do tend to be thin but also in great health.

Breakfast could be two bananas and strawberries. Lunch could be some figs, walnuts, nectarines and blueberries. Dinner could be a salad of cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes along with sunflower seeds washed down by a couple glasses of vegan wine.

It is not possible to live only on water without additives. Water provides no calories and the basic functions of your body such as breathing and circulation burn calories. Without calories, you starve.

I do not know any fruitarians but I do know a couple of vegans that had to give it up and a now regular vegetarians who will consume dairy and eggs along with fruits and vegetables. Being a fruitarian can be dangerous after a few years, it often causes diabetes due to to much sugar.

Extract:

Many critics say that a fruitarian diet is hard to follow. Long-term fruitarians suffer health problems related to a deficiency in nutrients. Some people believe that B12 isn’t found in any fruit matter. Others believe this diet is too rich in sugar, which leads to hyperglycemia or diabetes. The diet lacks minerals, fat-soluble vitamins and protein. Some fruitarians suffer orthorexia, an eating disorder.
