How long will it last?!

Question:

How long will it last?

I bought some sausage patties, they were frozen for a couple days and I put them in the refridgerator to thaw out because I planned to cook them. It's been a week.. are they any good???

Answers:
If you thawed them in the fridge, they still should be fine. Smell them though and if they are no longer pink, pitch'em

Check them for slime and see if they smell foul. If not, they're good to go.

most likely not they should have been eaten earlier.

Nope, meat usually is only good for about three days in the frig.

Most likely they are fine as a lot of times they are precooked.

A week as in 7 days, NO good....
A week as in 5 days (work week) then maybe depending on your refrigerator temperature.

"Raw pork can be stored in a refrigerator several days, depending on the type of cut."

I keep my refrigerator quite cold and notice that it takes up to 2 days for some things to thaw, so here's my advice...

Open up the sausage, if it smells at all strange, has any slime or discolaration to it, throw it out.

Or use the old saying "when in doubt, throw it out".

No, meat goes bad after three days in the fridge (or 3 months in the freezer), even if they were frozen to start with.

If it was in the refrigerator and the expiry date has not passed then check for the smell and color.

If it looks okay then I think its okay to cook it. But I'd cook it for an extra 15 minutes to make sure all the germs are gone.

But if you have doubts do not take chances with your health and throw it out.

hmmm. do they smell kind of weird?? I would not personally eat them.

If they thawed in the fridge, they should be.Smell them and look at their color. You will smell if they are bad..thanks for 2.
