No. Bok choy is Chinese cabbage while leek is a large onion. Leeks have a much stronger flavour and make very good soup. You could try the recipe with leeks anyway it might be delicious.

Bok choy has a very delicate flavor. The flavor of the green leaves of the stalk is a bit like spinach (not at all like cabbage) and the white part of the stem has almost no flavor but is very juicy and thick. Typically eaten steamed or stir fried. Baby bok choy is great split down the middle, brushed with olive oil and grilled for a minute or two, cut side up.

Leeks are a type of onion. They are sweeter and mellow flavored with a mild onion flavor. You can use the whole leek after it is cleaned well since leeks can have garden dirt in the folds of the leaves deep down near the white part. The green part takes longer to cook than the white, but it is very good. Lots of people mistakenly throw the green tops out but they are just as good and have just as much flavor.

No they are not. Bok choy is a cabbage type veggie and leek is a onion garlic veggie. One is of the cabbage family and the other is from the onion family.

No. Not even close.

Bok Choy is a kind of cabbage. Leek is a relative to the onion. They have nothing in common other than both being upright vegetables.

No they are nothing the same.
Bok Choy in my opinion is kind of a cross between celery and nappa cabbage.

Leeks are giant mild green onions. Nothing nothing alike.

No, Bok-Choy is a member of the cabbage family, with leaves & stems.
Leeks are related to onions, with a long bulb; they are not even close.
