can anyone please explain the following american foods?!
Answers:
Meatloaf is ground beef mixed with spices, bread crumbs, and whatever else people put (sort of like the mix for meatballs?) but it's kept in a loaf form and baked in the oven. Some people eat it with ketchup? Totally disgusting.
Corndogs are hotdogs (sausages?) wrapped in a corn-based batter and fried, served on a stick. Also gross.
Sloppy joes are ground beef in a sort of tangy BBQ sauce, served on a bun. Can.. sometimes be not gross.
Meatloaf is seasoned mince meat baked in a (bread) loaf tin. It's then turned out, and sliced like bread, and used just like any other meat in a meal.
Corndogs are hotdogs with a stick (like a kebab stick) pushed through one end so that you can hold them, and then dipped in corn flour batter, and deep fried. Normally served with mustard.
Sloppy Joes, are mince meat sandwiches. The mince has a thick tomato sauce (tastes like a mixture between spag bol, and barbecue) and it's piled on to hamburger buns.
Hope this helps.
Meatloaf is ground beef, chopped onions and bell peppers, baked in a loaf pan and usually served with a tomato-based sauce. Corndogs are hotdogs on a stick, dipped in corn bread batter (and cooked). Sloppy joes are like hamburgers, but the ground beef is loose and cooked tomato sauce, making it a very sloppy sandwich to eat. All are yummy picnic foods.
hi, saw this questions while looking at the healthy breakfast options. Im an american living in armagh (for 13 years) so hope I can help. Meatloaf is mince, onions, red sauce and a few other things, baked in the oven in a loaf shaped tin, very nice!! corndogs are usually sold at fun fairs and are hot dogs on a stick and done in a batter probably like battered sausages. Sloppy joes are hamburger on a bap but the sloppy part comes from a sauce that's poured over the whole thing. you can get all the receipes by using any website like allrecipes.com which will even do conversions for you from imperial to metric measurements. hope this helps. not entirely sure about the sloppy joes tho, its been about 40 years since i've had one!!!! good luck.
Corndogs are hotdogs on sticks with a bead batter over them.
Sloppy joes are lose hamburger with mixed with a a tomato paste with different s spices
Meat loaf is hamburger mixed with something like crackers or cornflakes. It is then baked and sliced up like a loaf of bread.
All of it is crap and will probably kill most of us in America but it taste so good. I'll probably have a corndog for breakfast tomorrow before work.
Yes..Meatloaf is ground beek and sometime pork mixed together with seasoning to form a loaf[like a loaf of bread shape} and is a entree for a meal..Next corn dogs are weiners on a stick coated with cornmeal and deep fried as a snack or for children maybe lunch....finally sloppy joes are sandwichs made with ground beef and seasoning with bar-b que sauce mixed in and served on a bun or french roll as a lunch or anytime you are hungery for a good hearty sandwich...Enjoy,Joanie
All three of those things are delicious, don't let these other people fool you. Yeah corn dogs are junk food, but the others are good food. Meatloaf is actually 1 part ground beef, 1 park ground veal, and 1 park ground pork, with onions, peppers, tomato sauce/paste and other herbs and spices. The reason all these people think meatloaf is gross is because all they have had was hamburger loaf, which is not that great. Make it right and enjoy.
Gross!
