Question:

Kombucha brewing question.......please help!!!?

my kombucha scoby has been "brewing" for 5 days in a medium size glass container w/ only a quart of black tea.
it looks perfect! the whole top layer is that white rubbery jelly looking stuff and the bottom is the mother culture.
anyway my question is can i transfer this whole culture along with the tea in a larger glass container w/ more tea and sugar added??? will this screw up the process???
also am I suppose to seperate the white rubbery jelly looking piece from the bottom mother culture??? or can I put both in the larger container???
I appreciate your answers!!!
thanks sooooo much (in advance)!!

Answers:
you can do this just make sure the temperature is similar in the teas and you don't have to seperate the culture as it is a yeast based spore so any amount of the culture in a new medium will start to produce more as long as there is food (sugar) available
