I've got a habenero pepper! SO, what should I do with this thing? People scared me about how hot it is?!
Answers:
Use it as you said a small amount at a time, to make it a it milder, remove he seeds and veins, that is were the main heat is from, be careful not to rub your eyes or nose after cutting it, keep it in a sealed container or Ziploc bag, try small amounts and work your way up to more, you may find it not as hot as first thought to be, as for the Jolokia it is 5 times hotter than the Habenero, I have some dried ones and even as a veteran chili-head, I can only handle 1/2 of one. Just have some milk or fruit juice handy when you try it, use it in salsa, add it to chili or other Mexican foods, chop fine and add to a relish for burgers and hot dogs, you make up your mind what you use for, raw is not recommended.
they aren't that hot!!! Make a hot sauce..
habanero pepper
2 roma tomato
1 garlic clove
1/4 onion
dash of salt
half a lime's juice
fry all this together in a frying pan with some oil and than puree together
eat habanero peppers daily:)
I like to make a latin style roast pork in the crockpot, and if I want to spice it up I add a diced habanero. Just google crockpot carnitas, and add a sliced habanero, it will be good.
Habaneros are not going to be THAT hot, especially after cooking them. If you really want to spice it up, get some Bhut Jolokia, the ghost pepper!

LOL, my husband makes hot sauce out of them and he cooks them on the grill and just eats them.
Use it in a voodoo ritual.
Whatever you do, dont eat it. I did once and now I cant smell, see, hear, or feel.
