Depends on the restaurant. It's really good at PF Changs even though it's a chain restaurant. Some of m local places are gross and some amazing! Most of us will never be fortunate to eat Chinese in China!

It lacks the luster you can only get from China. American style Chinese food is processed, fattened, and doesn't come close to the original style of Chinese food. I live in America and eat it, then go back to China for vacation and eat it there. Huge difference. American Chinese food is pretty disgusting.

When it's set under heat lamps in steamer trays for hours on end, made in mass quantities, and sold in dingy, dirty places that all seem to have the same exact orange chicken with the gross bits of decomposing orange peel left in the mix?

And I don't appreciate the cold, rude attitudes the staff gives you, either.

Like from Panda Express or Pick up Stixs? I wouldn't say it's disgusting I just wouldn't prefer it. American style Chinese Food would be like the last resort. I prefer Authentic Chinese Food any day and it's not that difficult to find since I live in a very diverse cultural area.

I'm east asian. I would love authentic chinese food that my mom and grandma makes. It doesn't really matter to me. It's just food. In some countries they don't even have anything to eat. I would just eat and not complain. I don't really find it disgusting, just different taste. You know?

I find it's mostly inferior to what I had living in Taipei, and sometimes awful. But there are a few places here in Seattle that make it authentic and delicious.

No, the worst Chinese ( IMHO ) was Beijing. Cooking oil was rancid. The dog meat on display didn't entice us at all. You had to ask for rice.

any chinese food from outside of vancouver, california or washington is horrible.
