Answers:
The prawn crackers is puffed starch... (sort of like popped popcorn).
The dry starch soaks up the moisture (saliva) and pores in the prawn crackers act like suction cups on the tongue.
Haha, that is actually a good question worthy of some quirky afternoon science tv show. I don't know for sure but I would hazard a guess that it is due to the structure of the air filled cracker...the thousands of tiny holes on its surface collapse when the cracker dissolves on your tongue and a vacuum is formed, thus it sticks to your tongue. maybe we'll find out for sure one day... why don't you write to brainiac?
