What is this Thai dish?!

Question: What is this Thai dish?
I had it once when my best friend's mother cooked it.
It was a kind of soup with noodles and vegetables so it wasn't a thick curry that you would eat with rice.
It was very, very spicy, almost unbearable, yellow in color and it tasted like coconut.

Answers:

I don't have a name - sorry. It was probably closer to a stew and not a soup. It might have used an Indian curry paste with a Thai manufacture Mae Ploy makes some really good ready to use curries. It was mixed with coconut milk, you didn't say whether there was any meat or veggies but if your friends mom is Thai, she probably threw in whatever she had on hand,
I love spicy Thai food - or any spicy food for that matter.
