Not to be crass, it is the same, channa in the Hindi name for chickpea, so there the same product, there are dark and light in some areas, I buy mine from a self serve shop, this way it does not go stale quickly, if you ue alot for pakora's, bhaji or as a thickener fine, keep it in a tightly sealed container, even refrigerate it to keep it longer.
