can you eat oolong tea leaves?!


Question: Can you eat oolong tea leaves?
i know the tea is good for you, but can you also eat the leaves after the tea has been steeped?

They are used alot in Fijian cuisine in soups, stewed dishes and other foods, tea is like any other spice or herb, it has more properties and flavour used in a whole leave way, Japanese Green tea ice cream uses powdered green tea for flavour and colour. Tea is used in many country's as a flavouring and even as a soup stock.



Yes you can eat tea leaves directly. Based on my experience it is best to eat tea leaves when they are fresh and clean.But as for the leaves that has been steeped without completing the whole process for it to be a tea, then better not. But for the one that are in the packs, yes you can eat them directly.
