Answers:
they mean chop the chicken in little pieces. I don't think that's the best way. I would put the chicken in a lightly oiled pyrex dish and bake it that way, and then cut it up when it is cooked and cooled. It would be so dry the way they described.

It likely means that you cut raw chicken pieces into cubes (1/2"x1/2") and saute the chicken cubes in 1/4c. of the butter in a frying pan or saute pan until it's cooked through.

to cube chicken means to cut into little chunks, like bite size pieces. as far as cooking in butter, all you do is put the butter in a skillet/frying pan and add the chicken. cook til no longer pink. yes you can boil chicken but it has no flavor.
hope this helped and good luck!

Purchase skinless boneless chicken breasts. Less work for you! Slice each breast into strips about one half inch wide. Then slice each strip into cubes about one half inch wide. Melt the butter over meduim heat with about 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil (this keeps the butter from burning) and genlty cook the chicken, turning so you have cooked all sides. Add the milk and allow it to warm before you add the cheese. When you add the cheese remember to stir constantly or you will have a large lump of cheese in the sauce.

you can actually cut the chicken anyway u would like and cook anyway also.
i like to broil it then slice it long ways when making alfredo. that is how they did it at both resturants i worked and it was delicious!
*also if u would rather not use butter, u can use extra virgin olive oil.

You can boil the chicken breasts if you want and just cut in cubes when it's cooked. Or, just cut in bite size pieces. I'm sure you don't have to be exact. If you want it to cook faster, cut it before you cook it. If you don't want to use butter, you can saute it in olive or canola oil, or even in fat free cooking spray.
