Vegetarian Food @ Indian Wedding?!
I want to look at some recipes/pictures to get myself hungry and in the mood!

A lot will depend on what community the wedding party is from. For example a Jain wedding dould be very different from a normal Hindu wedding. Also, if they are from North India, the food will be more creamy and fragrant, which people further south will have food which is far more spicy and hot.
In general there will be Indian breads including the naan and kulcha, rotis or puris. For Starters & Entrees, Samosas and pakoras are the most common ones
For the Main Course Vegetarian there could be Matar Paneer, Palak Panner, Sag and Shahi Paneer which are North Indian and are firm favorites for the vegetarians in a wedding feast. The Malai Kofta, Daal Makhani and Tadka Daal are others.
Rice Dishes is common in some form or the other. Maybe a Vegetable Biryani or Kashmiri Pulao, which is a vegetarian dish.
A lot of people also tend to offer Indianised Chinese food at parties and receptions, so I'm pretty sure you might find some stir fried vegetables or Gobi Manchurian, fried rice, etc.

Actually MOST Indian dishes (true Indian as opposed to the Americanised stuff) are vegetarian, expect some interesting 'curries'- some of these will be quite sweet and not at all spicy. There will be a LOT of lentils and other legumes (I LOVE these Indian dishes!).
They will have Naan bread, some Rosti, and those really yummy deep fried balls of mashed vegetables (I hope- these are SOO yummy!).
There will probably be a good few samosas, I adore these too- they are little puffs of pastry wrapped around unidentifiable fillings(or at least things I can never identify).
I have a couple of Indian friends and that's the sort of spread they put out for parties, apparently they do even fancier and yummier food for weddings but I have yet to go to an Indian wedding. I actually like the vegetarian dishes more than the standard ones containing meat that you find in mainstream restaurants.
Ingredients
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* 1 medium onion, chopped
* 4 cups cubed bread
* 2 tablespoons minced fresh rosemary
* 1 cup shredded or crumbled cheese
* 6 eggs, lightly beaten
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1 cup 2% milk
* 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Heat olive oil in a cast iron pan, and cook onion and rosemary in oil until onion is soft.
3. Toss bread cubes with olive oil and onions. Exact measurement of bread is not necessary. Place in a well oiled, deep sided, 9 inch square pan. Toss with 1/2 cheese, and sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
4. Beat together milk, cream, and eggs. Pour over bread in pan. It is fine that the bread sticks out of the custard.
5. Bake for 1 hour, or until browned and a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean (except for melted cheese).
Could be almost anything. Eat something ahead of time if you are afraid that the food might not be to your liking.I think the food should be to your liking if you like the spices on the meat stuff. They like lentils for one thing. They are a sweet legume. Maybe hummous (chickpea spread)...just guessing...that is sort of an arab dish. Naan bread is sort of a staple, I think. I haven't been to an Indian wedding.
