Here are the must try list when you are in Korea
Galbi ( BBQ beef ) very famous
Bibimbop (or Gobdol bibimbop) - Rice with meat with assorted vegetable with spicy sauce. You mix them together and try

chajangmyun - it's like Chinese lomein but it's so much better. ( You need to go to Junggook Jip ( Korean sytle Chines restraunt
Champong - Spicy Noodle soup with seafood and vegetable. ( You need to go to Junggook Jip ( Korean sytle Chines restraunt

Kimchi is the most well known korean dish.

Korean barbecue, or gogi gui is another representative dish.

Dishes like bimbimbap, dolsot bimbimbap, soon tofu, ginseng chicken, and bindaetteok (Korean pancake) are also very well known.

Korean hot pot or jungol dishes are worth trying. Mixed mushroom jungol and lamb jungol are both very nice.

There are many noodle dishes worth trying too. I think you probably have heard about jajangmyeon before. Places that serve jajangmyeon will also serve champon (jjampong). You can get them in a combo bowl. Other noodle dishes like bibim guksu and naengmyeon are also very popular.

There are quite a bit of street foods also. You could find rice cake, various fish cakes, giant squid tentacles, sausages and who knows what else on skewers. They are all fun to eat. Those BBQ dried fish (sweet) and dried squid are worth a try too.

There are also some not so well know dishes. Korean black sausage, deep fried peppers, and pork shank/shoulder slices (rolled into napa cabbage leaves) are all worth trying. If you don't mind raw fish/meats, you could also try korean style sashimi and raw beef dishes.

PS: Almost forgot. Must try Korean BBQ/grilled eels. Very good stuff. Also, do expect to see a lot of garlic and spicy stuff in Korea. :)

Kimchi is the most famous korean food but there are a bunch of different kimchis.

My favorite Korean food is galbi which is Korean barbecue.

There's also bibimbab and bulgogi and a bunch of other foods.
