While making my daughters B day cake...?!

Question:

While making my daughters B day cake...?

the recipe called for 3 eggs.. when I cracked open one egg there was 2 yolks... does that account for 2 eggs or is it still just one???

Answers:
It still counts as one egg. Since eggs are divided shell size the interior fluid is approximately the same size per egg. Thus even with two yolks it had about the same fluid as all the other eggs in the dozen that you purchased.

It counts as just one and is suppose to be lucky.

Two yolks? Were they tiny yolks? Maybe they were two yolks that are formed into one. I wouldn't stress it about this because even if you put an extra egg it will make the cake nice and moist. So if you decide its 1 or 2. Don't worry, I'm sure the cake will be yummy!

It just counts as one egg...it is supposed to mean that you're going to have twins too...hehe. I just recently had a dozen eggs and almost ALL of them had double yolks.

I just think when that happens it is a direct reflection of the hormones that are given to chickens now a days.

Only counts as one egg.

i think that counts for two.
