Question:

Can I make hummus without the tahini??

I dont know where to find it and i already have all the ingrdients...willit taste good like that? i've never tasted it bfore! thanks

Answers:
I make mine with extra lemon and omit the tahini.

you can, in a pinch
You find it at the grocery store, beside the peanut butter

i think so,
tahinis supposed to give it a nutty taste so I'd just add something that would give it the same effect
hope it works

Yep. I rarely use it. It tastes great. Try it.

I've seen some recipes that substitute regular low-fat yogart for the tahini.

You can use a tiny bit of peanut butter in it's place.

Tahini is toasted sesame paste and it does taste pretty nutty.

Yeah, I live in a rural area and can't find tahini here so I just replace the amount of tahini in the recipe with olive oil and add in about 2 tsp. cumin which makes the hummus taste great.
