Is Halal humane? I am in two minds about it.?!

Question: Is Halal humane? I am in two minds about it.?
I am aware that Halal meat is more healthier, but in regards to the slaughtering of the animal, I don't think it's a very humane salughtering. I know they have to slit the throat of the animal so that the blood runs out of the animal fast. Is it true to say that this is not humane, and with the next batch of animals walking in, waiting to be slaughtered, can smell the blood and become distressed. If the cutting of the animals jugular vein is done properly, does the animal feel pain, does it suffer?

The most humane way would be an unexpected bullet to the head but whatever...

In westerns slaughter houses the other animals get distressed as will.
Human is maybe not the right word, after all, regard we it as human to kill?
What we regard as human is killing without suffering..or at least with as little suffering as possible.
Both methods try to achieve that. Cutting the vein with a sharp knife is equally quick ( by a skilled slaughters and they are skilled) as a electric gun. On the other hand, not all animals die instantly with an electro shock.
I bet the guys who where for long seconds on the electric chair and suffered the most inhuman death possible (apart from death row being cruel and inhuman anyway) would have preferred a death by knife

I like to eat meat --- but I dislike to do cruelties to Gods creatures. Possibly in former times halal meat was healthier in warmer regions, but to day with modern freezers there is no necessity of kosher butchering. Halal or kosher meat is a cruelty to animals as stoning a widow for adultery.
Who is for halal or kosher meat also is for stoning of Sakineh Mohammadi Aschtiani. Every human being should free this woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

Equally, you could wonder whether standard, non-religious, methods of slaughter are humane.

The ethics of herding animals into industrial machines with rotating knives, as happens in normal abatoirs, is probably not a matter most people wish to consider as they tuck into a nice juicy steak or their KFC.

yes it's Humane....you should be in the right mind about it...

it's right more Healthier and it's approved in all the Arab Countries.including my place..

yes that's correct but there is some things that our traditions have that must be said upon the slaying the throat of the animal...stuff said in the Qu'ran..(Koran)

no they can't as the animale to be be killed not in the forest..in some high clean sanitized felicity ..

Seen it.

Because it's humane to kill animals..............

You care so much about how the animal will die but why does it matter if you are killing it anyway?

You care so much about the innocent animals, so stop eating meat.

Problem solved.

It depends on the beliefs. It's becoming more common/acceptable in the UK for Muslims to allow pre-stunning which is much more humane.

If you were dangling upside down and had your throat cut, would it hurt? Is it a humane way to dispose of any living thing? Only you can decide what your opinion is on that. I know where I stand.

yes that's true Halal meat is more healthier as you said
also its fastest way to kill the animals ............which make less pain and suffer than any method of slaughtering

I've never been in a European slaughter house, but I have witnessed 'halal' slaughter. The first time, I was a little reticent and watched the procedure from a window. It was very quick, but I do realise that you have to have a very sharp knife. The second time we prayed over the animal and I said to my oldest step son, "I think I'll just step to one side." He's a bit squeamish and, having said to me, "I'll come with you," then made me the excuse. The third time I just accepted it. I've never seen any hint of suffering from these animals.

When I was 16 I did have a nasty experience in France. It wasn't a halal slaughter and they were not Muslims or in any way connected with Muslims. I saw a large white rabbit in a closed basket. Now English people don't knowingly eat white rabbits. White rabbits are pets. Anyway, I was sitting in the garden when I suddenly hear a piercing scream and a splash. They'd cut it's throat and we had it for dinner.
I think it's all a question of technique, know how and practise.
