Italians love family, and friends around. The table is the center of entertaining. Meals last for hours, and only the best of everything is served. Good table manners are extremely important and families eat together. On Sundays and holidays, the best china and silver come out and dining is a formal event. Meals become solemn and last most of the day.

Iwork with a gal that is 100 percent italian, raised in us..first off, they love the fresh baked bread with meals, with olive oil,not butter..ick for this swede. also, any holiday whether its 100 above, or 100 below, all the women get together to make "raviolies"..a tight knit group, but love that pasta!
