Will you get sick if you eat really old chocolate?!

Question:

Will you get sick if you eat really old chocolate?

Answers:
Chocolate has very little moisture and a very high sugar content. This makes it unsuitable for bacteria, but very suitable for yeasts and mold. Usually yeasts and molds do not pose any health risk, but they can spoil the chocolate and make it taste bad. You will probably be ok as far as not getting sick, but it might not be too apetizing.

depends on really how old it is...shoudn't really unless it has stuff growing on it i think.

Yes if its expired..

Only if its moldy. Yum, gotta go get some chocolate, thanks for reminding me

If it is over 4 months old, then just throw it away. It could possibly be ok, but to be sure you better not eat it.

No you wont get sick it never goes bad really it gets fat or sugar blooms on it when it gets old it wont taste as good but you wont get sick.

I have kept chocolate in the freezer for up to a year. and still have it fresh enough to eat.
But just laying out in the open, you will spend a lot of time in the bathroom - that is for sure... :( :( :(
