what should I serve with this?!

Question: What should I serve with this?
I'm making a chinese clay pot beef.
It has beef cross-rib cubes, green onions, shiitake shrooms, carrots, garlic, chinese rice wine, beef broth, soy sauce, star anise, cinnamon sticks, ginger, bean thread noodles and baby bok choy in it.
What should I serve with it?
To drink I will serve the rest of the rice wine and some jasmin tea.
But should I also go with a salad? if so, what kind?
bread?
and desert? what would go well with this dish?

I always love a salad with some good ginger dressing. But this all depends on the mood/ tone that you are trying to set but perhaps for desert you can experiment with serving a home made jasmine tea ice cream. It should not be that hard to make. Or you could do a native chinese fruit ice cream if you want to stick to the chinese theme. You could mix the jasmine tea with the wine and see what kind of cocktail you come up with. I would stick with the basic principals here
something salty, something spicy, something sweet, something sour, something bitter, something soft/ delicate and something pungent
ginger & garliccould be considered pungent, star anise and cinnamon could be considered a spice"though not spicey" but thats ok : ) mushrooms are a delicate flavor, soy sauce is salty and the rest are kind of neutral or inbetweens like jasmine jasmine could be considered bitter but also delicate but if you where to just add honey it would be all three.
As for the bread well...I am not sure what it is called but asian resturants typically serve it with duck and it is like stark white in color but I love it for any and everything. It is super delicate, soft neutral in flavor and since it is so white it gives an interesting visual contrast to the other foods.

serve on warm plates for a perfectionists touch and Voila... :)
Best of luck sweety I hope I helped

I would take out the bean thread noodles and just have a side of regular white rice. Clay pot beef + rice is really good together. The rice soaks up the sauce and it's just absolutely delightful. If you want to stick with the Chinese theme, serve fresh fruit as dessert. It's nice and refreshing since the dish is pretty heavy.

Hi
Some days ago, I made this wonderful strawberry shortcake following the steps shown in the video. It was a big success. I thought you might want to try it. ?
