Which do you prefer, steamed dumplings or fried dumplings?!

Question: Which do you prefer, steamed dumplings or fried dumplings?
Answers:

oh steamed steamed steamed!
The fried ones get too slippery.
Already when you have steamed ones the oil drips out from inside, all over you. That's enough grease for me.
DEElicious.

I will prefer the steamed, its the healthy dumplings one.

i like them both. the fried ones have a nice browned bit on them, but the steamed ones are less oily...i eat them any way i can get them anyway. i adore dumplings.

damnit now i want dumplings

Both.
Like you put a little bit of oil and some water in a pan and fry them.
Then, take it out when all the water evaporates. It's DELICIOUS.

Depends on the kind and ethnicity of the dumpling. You're probably talking about Asian dumplings so I'll say fried.

Steamed. Fried is unhealthy.

Fried tastes better but since my diet doesn't permit a lot of fat, I always choose steamed.

steamed dumplings :D

FRIED!!

They're so brown and crispy... ^_^

Fried. Tastes a heck of a lot better!

steamed, they am healthier but still tasty!

3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
Oil for frying

Preparation
Sieve the flour in to a bowl, stir in the salt and baking powder

Cut the butter in to small lumps and add to the mixture

Work the mixture in to a breadcrumb-like texture

Add the milk a little bit at a time and work in to the mixture (if it is added too quickly the mixture may not bind properly)
Knead the mixture until it is smooth

Divide the mixture in to small balls about 5cm in diameter then flatten the balls so they are about 2cm thick. The dumplings are now ready to be either boiled or fried.

Cooking - Fried Dumplings
Heat the oil over a low heat

Fry until golden brown (this should take about five minutes)

Place on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil

Serve

Cooking - Boiled Dumplings
Place the dumplings in boiling water for 15 minutes

Drain and serve.
